We exist because access shouldn't be a privilege.

NextAthletes was born from a simple truth: the gap between a good athlete and a great one isn't always talent. Most of the time, it's access — access to the right coach, the right mindset, and the real story of what it takes.

Too many competitive athletes grind for years without ever hearing from someone who's actually walked the path. The D1 recruit who knows what college coaches look for. The pro who understands the mental battles nobody talks about. The international athlete who figured it out thousands of miles from home.

That's the gap NextAthletes was built to close. We pair athletes with Division I and professional athlete-coaches who do more than run drills — they mentor. They teach athletes how to think critically about their game, solve problems on the court, and make sharper decisions under pressure. Through personalized coaching and real-world experience, we help the next generation build the mindset and skills that separate those who compete from those who rise.

Because access shouldn't be the thing that holds a great athlete back.

About the Founder

Built by someone who had to figure it out from the other side of the world.

Patrick grew up between two worlds — born in Taiwan, raised in the Middle East — where he became the #1 ranked player in both U12 and U14 in the UAE. He spent years playing competitive tennis without ever knowing that a college scholarship in America was even a possibility. That wasn't a lack of talent. It was a lack of access.

When the opportunity came to relocate to California and train seriously during high school, everything changed. Patrick climbed to a ranking of 400 on the ITF Junior Tour and went on to compete at the Division I level at Sacramento State. For the first time, there were coaches who understood the college recruiting process, environments where athletes talked about mindset as seriously as technique, and people who had actually walked the path. The difference wasn't skill. It was information. It was exposure. It was access.

That realization became the foundation of NextAthletes. Too many talented athletes are putting in the work but never getting the guidance that makes it count. Not because the drive isn't there — but because the right information, the right mentorship, and the right direction simply aren't within reach. Every year, real talent goes to waste — not from a lack of effort, but from a lack of access.

What separates good players from great ones isn't just training volume or raw ability. It's the details — the things only experience teaches you. The right way to communicate with a college coach. The mental framework to survive a losing streak. The recruiting nuances that are never written down anywhere. These details aren't secrets. They're just not evenly shared.

NextAthletes was built to change that — connecting athletes at every level with Division I and professional athletes who share not just training programs, but real experience. The mentality. The process. The setbacks and the breakthroughs.
